- Peak Season: November – January. This is when the mist is most consistent and the weather is crisp and cool.
- The Sunrise Hike: Most visitors begin their trek at 5:00 AM. It is a manageable 760-meter walk from the parking area to the summit.
How to Get There
Phu Chi Fa is approximately a 2.5 to 3-hour drive from Chiang Rai city. For those looking for an immersive experience, we recommend staying overnight in one of the local Hmong or Akha village homestays near the mountain base. This allows you to experience the local culture and ensures you are at the peak well before the sun begins to rise.
